Schauer wins two awards at the Equitana 2009.
The straw system “Strohmatic” won the Innovation Jury Award and the Schauer loose-housing system of the Brandt Family won the highest award of LAG (5 stable stars) for  group size B. The latter is equipped with Compident Horse feeder, an entrance door made of rubber and a facility that helps horses to leave the station according to individual data. The movable rubber design prevents problems in the event of panic situations. Alternative solutions for electronic identification assure almost 100% electronic identification. This not only increases safety, but also eases the learning process of the horses. “Strohmatic” won the prestigious award because of the fact that it is a great way to automate the cutting of straw bales, plus the intersperse process, which saves labour time and increases the life quality of the horse keeper. It takes less than one minute per horse and is absolutely dust-free.

Large-scale Compident project
Compident ESF stations installed at the Country View Farm in Pennsylvania provide healthy group housing for sows. The new generation TOPO feeding computers are very user friendly, easy to work with, high in quality and previous experience with the Compident ESF stations made the decision easy for Country View Farm. 46 Compident feeders for static groups, 12 feeders for dynamic groups and 6 feeders for training groups are in use.

Derler’s dairy farm
On 26th of April about 5000 enthusiastic attendants where able to view modern dairy equipment in use at the dairy farm of Derler in Oberes Feistritztal. The guests took the chance to enjoy the “cow coffeehouse” that is also part of the farm.

Schwarzenau Agricultural Centre
On 10th of May about 5000 people visited the swine expert education centre in Schwarzenau. Schauer has installed Spotmix residue-free feeding systems and Compident MLP feeders for fattening performance checking.

Haus Düsse
On 2nd of April the new testing facility of Haus Düsse was opened and proudly presented its highly intelligent networking between ventilation, feeding computers, the sorter system and other systems within the housing. All process computers are connected via uniform ISOAgriNET port. Schauer Agrotronic has installed Compident MLP stations for fattening performance checking.
