Spotmix
Multi-phase feeding
Precision: mixing with dry feed
Exactly the right portion size and recipe is prepared for each individual feeding point. This European patented technology is also ideal for CCM (corn cob mix) and wet stored grain.
Energy-saving: transport with dry feed
The precisely portioned recipe is transported to the SPOTMIX rotation distributor in a stream of air.
Hygiene: distribution with liquid feed
The feed is mixed with water in the SPOTMIX rotation distributor and supplied to the trough as liquid feed. The rotation distributor and piping are then cleaned with air and water fog.
Perfect system optimisation with Spotmix rotation distributor
- Easy to install.
- Higher feeding performance.
- Best possible feeding hygiene.
- Dry and liquid feeding points.
Spotmix II batch mixer
Working with an accuracy of 1:10 000 this industry-approved portioning mixer prepares the correct feed mixture for each feeding point. With the scales weighing to the nearest 10 g, even small portions can be measured with accuracy. Feed is distributed rapidly and synchronously using an air generator. Water is not added until the portion reaches the valve in the livestock unit. The feed to water ratio can be as high as 1:1.
CCM pre-storage
In addition to the CCM (corn cob mix) prestorage container for automatic CCM supply, solutions with foreign matter separators which have been tried and tested in practical situations are also available for large units and travelling silo operations.
From all-rounder to ALLROUND feeding professional
- Individual feeding point control for automatic filling with dry feed, wet feed or moist feed consistency.
- Residue-free feeding for feeding points up to 200 m away.
- Scales accurate to within +/-10 g.
- Feed portions from 1 kg per feeding point.
- Feeding capacity exceeds 600 kg dry feed per hour
The ultimate feeding strategy
Just the right amount for animal-specific, animal-friendly nourishment
Spotmix feeds à la carte
Only with Spotmix is real multiphase feeding possible. Individual amounts and compositions of feed are mixed and distributed to each feeding point. Even very small portions such as vitamins, medicinal feed etc. can be dispensed residue-free with precision. This system is the ultimate starting point for best carcass quality.
Rationed feeding
Important as pig breeds which grow very quickly approach the end of the fattening period. This avoids excessive feed intake ("luxury consumption") especially in the case of male pigs. Successful rationing is based on homogeneous animal groups, one feeding point per animal and simultaneous feeding. Exact rationing is also particularly important for valuable breeding pigs.
On demand ad-libitum feeding
Here the fattening pigs/piglets are fed with lots of small portions until the point of satiety. This ensures optimum growth, especially in the initial fattening period. Trough sensors check whether the trough is empty. It is refilled according to requirement and computer strategy. Using short troughs can save space and increase the pig-to-pen ratio by up to 10 %. This is also a good way of retrofitting existing pens without having to rebuild.
Spotmix earns you money
Feed cost savings thanks to optimised feed mixing and improved feed utilisation (0.1 kg = + € 1.5/animal)
Higher rotation due to higher daily weight gain (+ 10 g = + € 1.5/animal [at gross profit of € 25/animal])
Automatic pulp feeding when rearing baby piglets, in rations or ad-libitum. Using the Spotmix feeding system has been proven to show higher daily weight gains of 10 to 15 %.
AUTOMATIC feeding without additional dry feed dispensers!
Spotmix means that there are no problems in the transition from mother's milk to dry feed, thanks to wet feed and its improved digestibility. Especially when combined with sensor feeding, fresh feed is dispensed in small portions 10 to 12 times daily. The animal empties out the stainless steel trough, keeping it clean in the process. Perfect hygiene is ensured as a result. An automatic dispenser filling system is also available (dispensers made by Düsse).
Multiphase pulp feeding for breeding and fattening pigs
Whether it's in the farrowing area, serving pen or waiting bay ? only with Spotmix is it possible to fulfil all aspects of modern stock keeping with only one feeding system and without any compromises. The storage container of a Compident station can also be filled by cyclone.
DLG Focus Test confirms Spotmix energy efficiency:
30% less electricity consumption with Spotmix II
A DLG Focus Test carried out in 2009 confirms the remarkable 30% improvement to energy efficiency through Spotmix II. The electricity consumption of the Spotmix feeding system was measured at 2 fattening farms each with 1,000 porker pigs. The electricity consumption measured takes into account the component feeding and feed preparation. The test recorded effective electricity consumption of 3 kW per porker pig (110 days' fattening period/228 kg feed per pig). Assuming an electricity price of €0.18/kWh the corresponding electricity costs for feeding amount to only €0.54 per porker pig reared. On the other hand Spotmix enables farmers to achieve up to 500 g daily weight gains in piglet weaning or up to 900 g daily gains when fattening while fat-free mass remains high at over 59% thanks to the unrestricted multiphase capability of the system. When it comes to pig breeding, Spotmix stands out especially in the farrowing sector where the perfect feeding hygiene in particular increases feed intake and also milk yield as a result.
