The enterprise of Anton and Gabi Reiter, together with Anton’s brother Hermann, extends in the open fields near Erlingen (munici-pality of Meitingen bei Augsburg). In the year 1973, his father, Herbert Reiter, established a first barn here. Anton’s parents’ main business was at that time in the centre of Erlingen. Until 1972, it was led as a classic mixed enterprise with 20 milk cows, 40 mother sows, chickens, geese, etc. That very year, they made the decision to specialise in pigs.
